on friday the publishing company that i work for flew all of our sales reps in from all over the country, canada, and one woman from outside north america. we do this twice a year so that they can critique our book covers and titles for the coming season. they not only sell our books, but the books of all other major publishing companies. we spend a full day with them and they give us an ear-full of advice. it's great!
at the very end of the conference, my boss gave them some time to share about up-and-coming trends they are seeing in the business. they said BIRDS. kinda strange, i know. it reminds me of the movie Elf. for them, FARMS were big. "peaches? too vulnerable."
oh, and i forgot. these birds are in Buenos Aires.

loved your "elf" analogy, kates. made me chuckle out loud (as does any other quote from that movie). athough, now i'm picturing your company rep's as angry little people.
That's NUTS! Birds are in? What will they come up with next?
ha ha! now i'm picturing all my coworkers' heads on little bodies. ah!:)
